In order to support the advisory service, as a participant in projects or on customer demand, we carry out different trials in order to test farming techniques and technologies. This could be e.g. fertilizer programs, soil improvement, tillage or plant protection.
NSL is currently involved several projects, eg. “Förbättring av odlingssäkerheten i Nyland” (Increasing cultivation reliability in Nyland), “Caraway & Friends” (improve cultivaion methods for caraway, hemp and coriander) and “VARPSI” (Increasing yield stability for oil seed rape and turnip rape). These are all projects were we can contribute with reliable trial results, that increase the possibilities to success for the farmers in our region.
